Although not the role of the interpreter per se, knowledge of what psychological first aid is all about, considering that the interpreter will be requested to take initiative to engage with victims, must be a requisite. There must be role confusions and thresholds not to trespass, but at least, knowing ahead of time what the task would look like seems to be mission critical.
