NEW BRUNSWICK (WABC) -- As college graduates prepare to enter the workforce, some more grim statistics are surfacing.
Rutgers University says among young people who graduated between 2006 and 2010, only 53 percent have full time jobs.
The average salary is nothing to cheer about either, roughly $30,000 a year.
Those who graduated in 2009 and 2010 took a 10 percent hit in salary compared to those who started out a few years earlier.Half those who are working say they didn't need a bachelor's degree for the job they've landed.
