Eyewitness NewsMIDTOWN (WABC) -- The famed Algonquin Hotel may be getting new owners, according to the New York Post.
The midtown hotel, built in 1902, is currently run by Norwalk, Connecticut-based HEI, which operates it as a Marriott.
Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers is apparently interested in the property.
The Algonquin had been operating at a deficit, and its $35 million mortgage was on a watch list last year. It has since rebounded along with the city's tourism. (Copyright ©2011 WABC-TV/DT. All Rights Reserved.)Get more New York News »
