My Morning Joe – Good News Mortgage Fraud Down 41% ‹ My Morning Joe

According to LexisNexis the amount of mortgage fraud is down by over 40%. This is good news to anyone trying to buy a home. Now do not confuse this with the homes being in good shape. I know when you read fraud is down you would think people pretending they have renovated their homes but really didn’t would be a part of the stat but sadly it is not. This stat is based off of people providing false information to banks to float them a loan for a fake home and other things along this line. I am not sure if this helps in changing the rates that we can get on mortgages but it is at least a step in the right direction.
